Ronald G. Repka Foundation Youth Hockey Scholarship

The Foundation is proud to honor qualified youth hockey players with scholarships to play at their highest level.  Ron was an accomplished hockey player who played at the youth travel and collegiate level.  He continued to play through his adult life and enjoyed the camaraderie it provided.  In his spirit of competiveness the scholarships were created.

The Foundation has sponsored teams and individuals for the last several years.  As the Foundation has matured and family economics have changed, we have had a dramatic increase in the need for financial assistance.  Now we want to focus more on the individual player.  As a result we have created an application link on the Foundation’s website.

The Foundation would like each applicant to submit, in the applicant’s own words, an essay to explain the reason they feel they are qualified for a scholarship.  The applicant should give a history of their playing experience and what their goals are if they would receive a scholarship.  Each application will be judged on the sincerity of the essay (no parent ghost writers please).

Additionally we would like each applicant to submit a copy of their last grade card.  We feel that a good hockey player should also be a good student to be a viable candidate.  Applications can be e-mailed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Other applications can be mailed to Steven Lee, DDS at 1320 Medical Park Dr, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.  Scholarships are normally awarded at the beginning of the season but other circumstances may arise during the year.
